Daydreams or Nightmares

You left an imprint on my mattress

Sometimes when I’m laying awake 

Eyes closed I can feel you beside me

I imagine reaching my hand out

Touching your neck

And if I’m really quiet

I can hear you sigh with content 

You turn around

Looking at me

If I only concentrate hard enough 

I swear

I see you 

As long as I keep my eyes closed
